RUTH IRENE HOBART

Ruth Irene Hobart, age 90 of Uhrichsville, O.; passed away on Friday, February 23, 2018, at the Community Hospice House in New Philadelphia, following a lengthy illness.

Born on January 22, 1928, in Goshen, Ruth is the daughter of the late Edgar L. and Vera M. (Warren) Blick. 

In 1946, Ruth graduated from Tuscarawas High School.  She was a homemaker and attended Grace United Methodist Church in Uhrichsville.  Ruth enjoyed reading, word books, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Ruth is preceded in death by her husband Albert J. Hobart, who passed away December 1, 2007; daughter Diana L. Underwood and siblings Albert E. Blickensderfer, Ernest Blick, Dorothy M. Larson and Mary L. Ackerman.

Ruth is survived by her children Lori J. Garner of Dover, Glenda J. Guthrie of Deersville, David L. (Jackie) Hickenbottom of St. Petersburg, FL and Ronald (Barbara) Hickenbottom of Uhrichsville; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Graveside services for Ruth will be held at 11 a.m., on March 1, 2018, at Ridgecrest Memory Gardens in Dover, with the Pastor Mary Seevers officiating.

No public calling hours will be observed.
