Sherle E. Williams 1934-2015
81, of New Philadelphia, OH, passed away on November 17, 2015, at his home surrounded with his loving family by his side after a long battle with cancer. Born March 10, 1934 in St. Clairsville, OH, he was the son of the late James and Anna Williams. On August 29, 1958, he was united in marriage with the former Delores Ann Paisley and has been married for 57 years. He attended Tuscarawas Warwick High School and served in the United States Army. Although working several types of careers, he retired as a truck driver of 26 years. He was a member of the Local 92 Teamsters Union. His hobbies were raising and running his beagle dogs as well as working on his farm.
Sherle is survived by a son, Nathan (Holly) of Cadiz, OH and four daughters, Carrie Hickman, Colleen Keffer, Cathleen Douglass, all of Newcomerstown, OH and Chiemi Kochi-Johnson (Erik) of Honolulu, HI; 16 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; one brother, James (Dorothy), and three sisters, Beatrice Swaldo, Jackie (Jack) Albaugh and Jane Sensius; and his beloved beagles. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Betty Dupler, and brothers-in-law, Jerry Dupler and Frank Swaldo.
In keeping Sherle’s wishes, cremation will be cared for through the Uhrich-Hostettler English Funeral Home, Inc. in Uhrichsville, OH. A celebration of life memorial will be held from 2-4 pm on Sunday, November 22, 2015 at the Sharon Moravian Church in Tuscarawas, OH.
