Shirley Marie (Collins) Terakedis, Miller
Born April 28, 1933- Died Oct. 11, 2024
Daughter of late Margaret Opal Morris and John Z. Collins.
Shirley graduated from Uhrichsville High in 1951 and married Sam Terakedis, the father of her three wonderful children: Sam Anton Terakedis and wife Kathy of Independence, Kansas, her very special daughter, Marlane Marie Terakedis of home and Anthony William Terakedis of Uhrichsville, Ohio.
Also surviving is a sister, Mrs. Sheila (Gary) Corpman of Tuscarawas.
A brother, John died in 1989 of cancer.
In 19 something, Shirley married Carl Miller and corrected that mistake in a hurry. End of that saga!!
She worked at Twin City Hospital for 30 years and loved the people and the job. She was active in PTA at Uhrich St. and Trenton Ave. when her children were in grade school. After retiring, she worked a short time in Dr. Kagaoans’ office. Shirley enjoyed her children, her home and people in general.
Shirley has 4 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Her children were and are so very special to her and they showed her in so many ways that she was special to them. Take time to enjoy those around you and your life. It goes by so fast. Her children have made her very proud to be their “Mom”. She hopes to see all of you special people again someday!! God Bless.
Shirley was baptized on April 3, 2022 at Tyro Christian Church in Tyro, KS. She also went to Grace United Methodist Church in Uhrichsville, Ohio.
