Shirley Ann Vance, age 77, of Dennison, O., passed peacefully in her home on Friday, January 15, 2016. Born January 25, 1938, in Holloway, O., she was the youngest daughter of Fred and Cora (Henry) Dean.
Having lived in the Twin Cities most of her adult life, Shirley was employed at Joy Manufacturing (Howden Buffalo) until her retirement in 2000. On May 3, 1975, Shirley married Paul Vance, enjoying 30 years of marriage until his passing on September 22, 2005.
Shirley is survived by daughters Sondra (Mark) Jones and Denise Tucker (Mike Phillips Jr.), and grandchildren Dena Jones, Amanda (Shawn) Murphy and Kristopher Jones. She also enjoyed several great grandchildren Korie, Kialer, Brooklynn, Lauryn and Wyatt; her loving cats Lou Lou and Misty and many dear extended family members including her stepchildren, in-laws, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Shirley was preceded in death by siblings Alfred Dean, Edward Dean, Luella “Dot” Demarchi, Betty Odorizzi and Freda Rankin and great grandchildren Kialeigh Jones and Brenten Fisher.
Funeral services for Shirley will be held at 1 p.m., on Tuesday, January 19, 2016, at the Uhrich-Hostettler English Funeral Home, Inc. at Uhrichsville, with the Pastor Brian Flood officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Uhrichsville.
Calling hours will be from 11 to 1, (two hours prior to services) on Tuesday, January 19, 2016, at the funeral home.
