Thelma Louise Dryden, age 90, of Dennison, O., passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2015, at Community Hospice House in New Philadelphia, following a brief illness.
Born June 11, 1925 at Tracy, O., Thelma was the daughter of the late Harlan Jay and Lula Myrtle (Kail) Taylor.
In 1943, Thelma graduated from Dennison High School. She was formerly employed at Fab Ohio. Thelma was a housewife and homemaker. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Dennison.
In addition to her parents, Thelma was preceded in death by her husband Walter L. “Skeet” Dryden, who passed away November 30, 2004; 2 sisters Alice Bonanno, Betty Bridgeman and 3 brothers James Leroy, Kenneth Wayne and Oliver Ray Taylor.
Thelma is survived by her children Rocky L. (Teri Stull) Dryden of Dennison, Jeffery Wayne (Mitzi) Dryden of Dennison, Gregory Allen (Sandy) Dryden of Dover and Matthew Louis (Penny L.) Dryden of Tuscarawas; special sister-in-law Betty Cummings of Bolivar; 17 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Thelma will be held at 1 p.m., on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at the Uhrich-Hostettler English Funeral Home Inc. in Uhrichsville with the Rev. Larry Stitt officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Uhrichsville.
Calling hours will be from 11 to 1, (two hours prior to services) on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at the funeral home.
