WALLACE “RED” ALAN GOLD JR.

Wallace “Red” Alan Gold Jr., age 89, of Uhrichsville, O., passed away on Monday, October 2, 2023, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

Born March 2, 1934, in Uhrichsville, O., Wallace is the son of the late Wallace and Hazel (Cecil) Gold.

Wallace was employed at Evans Pipe and Ridge Tool, he then was a security guard at Gradall.  He loved to watch sports on TV including the Browns, Guardians and Ohio State Football.  Wallace enjoyed working in his yard and he took great pride in his home. He was a member of the Sharon Moravian Church in Tuscarawas.

Wallace is survived by his wife whom he married August 24, 1957, Judy Robinson Gold, who survives of the home; his children Kathy Gold of Uhrichsville and Kim (Kurt) Mahaffey of Uhrichsville; his grandchildren Lindsay (Derek Conrad) Gold of Tuscarawas, Kyle (Mikaela) Lawver of Gnadenhutten, Logan Mahaffey of Columbus and Taylor (Vince) Page of New Albany; his great grandchildren Jordan Conrad, Ava Conrad, River Lawver and Piper Lawver; and son-in-law Jim Lawver.

In addition to his parents, Wallace is preceded in death by his daughter Kelly Lawver; siblings Donald Gold, Jack Gold, Nancy Burdette, Janet Carr and Sandra Heavilin.

Pastor Jim Shamel will officiate the funeral for Wallace at 2 p.m., on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at the Uhrich-Hostettler English Funeral Home, Inc. at Uhrichsville. 

Calling hours will be from 12 to 2, (two hours prior to services) on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at the funeral home.
