LINDA LOUISE CROSS

Linda Louise Cross, age 74, of Uhrichsville, O., loving wife, mother, sister, “MeMe”, aunt and friend; passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2019, at Claymont Health and Rehabilitation Center, following a lengthy illness.

Born June 22, 1944, Linda is the daughter of the late Wanda (Craft) Crites and Stan Scott.

Linda is survived by her husband of 39 years, William R. Cross of the home; children Donald (Cristy) Fellers of Tuscarawas and Georgine (Jeff) Elmore of Scio; siblings Jeannie (John) Tarleton of Uhrichsville and Jackie (John) Vosick of Dennison, Stanley, Dixie, Steve, Juanita and Cash Scott; 3 grandchildren Devon and Jeff Elmore and Tyler Calhoun; great grandchildren Trisity Calhoun, Saige Calhoun, Xavior Elmore, Bradley Elmore, Trenton Elmore and Cali Elmore; nieces and nephews Markie Tarleton, Kaleb Tarleton, Kody (Alyssa) Murphy, Kari (Jake) Galigher, Marcia (Jimmy) Shamel, Johnna (Randy) Milburn, Erik (Wina) Hathaway and Stacy Scott; sister-in-law Mary Scott and caregivers Patti Bosetti and Donna Matthews.

In addition to her parents, Linda is preceded in death by her step father Gene “Bull” Crites; a baby girl Nadine; brothers Mark Crites, John L. Scott and David Scott and a nephew Gary Hathaway.

Linda was employed at as an apartment manager for ten years for numerous complexes such as Clay Village, Dennison Woods and others.  Linda owned her own cleaning service and also a restaurant called Taco Stand in Uhrichsville.  She was a member of the 4 Square Gospel Church in Uhrichsville, where she was a Sunday School teacher.  She loved to sing at area nursing homes, churches and weddings. She also loved to fish and dance.

A memorial service for Linda will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, June 1, 2019, at the Harvest Church, 420 W. 3rd St., Dover, O., 44622.  Inurnment will be held at Union Cemetery at a later date.
