TIMOTHY LEE FORTNEY        

Timothy Lee Fortney, age 61, of Uhrichsville, O., passed away at his home on Monday, May 27, 2019, following a lengthy illness.

Tim entered this world on May 12, 1958, in Columbus, Georgia.  We have his late father William Fortney and late mother Tootie Fortney to thank for his presence.  Also preceding him in death are his sister Wendy Fortney and longtime companion Rhonda Affolter.

Tim attended Dellroy schools before deciding he was too free of a spirit to remain in their walls.  He told many stories of the pranks and debacle he caused along with his childhood friends.

Tim was a self-taught genius when it came to anything, especially electric, plumbing and automotive repair.  He was known for always having the coolest gadgets, earning him the nickname “Gadget”.  His love of music led to him always having the best stereo equipment around.  He was always quick to pass on his knowledge to those he met.

He is survived by his children Tim (Angie) Fortney, Miranda (Mike) Fortney; grandchildren Tristen and Grady Fortney; the mother of his children Brenda Walker; brothers and sisters Debbie, Bill (Phyllis), Kathie (Jerry), Mary (Terry) Melanie, Dan (Chris), Dave, Mike (Angi), Angela and Joe (Jenn); numerous nieces, nephews; his companion’s family, whom he cherished and his beloved dog Lucky.

Services for Tim, officiated by Pastor Lisa Meese will be held at 12 noon, on Saturday, June 8, 2019, at the Uhrich-Hostettler English Funeral Home, Inc. at Uhrichsville. Calling hours will be from 10 to 12 (two hours prior to services) at the funeral home.

Attendees are encouraged to share stories and memories.  This is a celebration of a man who reached many and loved greatly.
