Jody Lynn (Abel) Golec

JODY LYNN GOLEC

Jody Lynn Golec, age 50, of Uhrichsville, passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at Western Reserve Hospital in Cuyahoga Falls, O., following a period of declining health.

Born November 16, 1970, in Dennison, O., Jody was the daughter of William Michael Abel of Dennison and the late Helen Jeanne (Bonifay) Abel.

In 1989, Jody graduated from Claymont High School.  She was employed at Union Hospital in Dover, O., as a unit clerk.  Throughout the years, Jody was employed at various medical facilities where she stayed to true to her career.

Jody enjoyed camping, riding motorcycles, watching TV, her love of purses and anything that had to do with her 3 nieces, who she deeply adored.

Jody is survived by her husband Richard Golec of the home; her children Corey Golec of Cincinnati and Taylor Golec of the home; her father William Michael Abel of Dennison; 2 brothers Jeffery Abel of Dennison and Bill (Kari) Abel of Dennison; father and mother-in-law Jim and Debby Golec; grandmother Anna Marie Abel; brothers-in-law Brian (Donna) Golec and Jason (Andreana) Golec; special nieces Piper, Hadley and Hudson; nieces and nephews Kelsey, Alexis, Chandler, Chance and Haley.

Jody is preceded in death by her mother Helen Jeanne Abel.

Memorial services for Jody will be held at 7 p.m., on Thursday, October 28, 2021, at the Uhrich-Hostettler English Funeral Home, Inc. at Uhrichsville, with the Rev. Mark Unrue officiating. 

Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 p.m., (two hours prior to services) on Thursday, October 28, 2021, at the funeral home.
