Margaret A. (Crites) Goshorn

MARGARET A. GOSHORN

Margaret A. Goshorn, age 83, of New Philadelphia, Ohio, passed away on Friday, June 5, 2020 at Schoenbrunn Healthcare following a lengthy illness.

Born November 23, 1936 in Tuscarawas, Margaret was the daughter of Clare and Faye (Fivecoat) Crites.

In 1954, Margaret graduated from Tuscarawas High School.  She was a self-employed beautician and a member of the St. James Lutheran Church in Tuscarawas where she was the church secretary for approximately 40 years.  Margaret belonged to many bowling leagues.  She enjoyed camping and was very active in her church especially the youth groups when she was younger.

In addition to her parents, Margaret is preceded in death by her husband George Goshorn, who passed away February 5, 2007; siblings Lois Deromedi, Jack Crites, Harold Crites, C. E. Crites; one granddaughter and one grandson.

Margaret is survived by her children Vicki (William) Beans of Mineral City, Vonda (Randy) McAfee of Roswell, Georgann (William) Miller of Gnadenhutten, Radonna (Dennis) Day of New Philadelphia; siblings Glenna Seperic of New Philadelphia, Eileen Competty of Massillon, Ralph Crites of Englewood, Florida; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Memorial services for Margaret will be held Monday, June 15, 2020 at 11 a.m., at the St. James Lutheran Church in Tuscarawas, with the Pastor Jeremy Hollingshead officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. James Lutheran Church Cemetery in Tuscarawas.
