Nancy L. (McDonald) Parcell

NANCY L. PARCELL

Nancy L. Parcell, age 95, of New Philadelphia, O., passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at Park Village Southside in New Philadelphia, following a brief illness.

Born July 19, 1926, in Uhrichsville, Nancy was the daughter of the late William and Jeannet (Murphy) McDonald.

In 1944, Nancy graduated from Uhrichsville High School.  She retired from Scio Pottery after 30 years.  She was a member of the Newport Methodist Church, Eastern Star and the Lakeland Democrat Women.

In addition to her parents, Nancy is preceded in death by her husband Lloyd Parcell, who passed away in 2004; sisters Mary Lee (Harold) Korns, Rose Ann aka Posey (Larry) Hubbard; brother-in-law Robert (Rosemary) Parcell; nephews Lennie Malterer, Phil Malterer, Rex Hubbard and niece Jan Nette Hubbard.

Nancy is survived by nieces Teresa Hubbard Jancura (Charles), Kelly Korns, Ada Malterer Mears (Tim); nephews Jim (Angel) Parcell, Jon Parcell, Jeff (Ginny) Hubbard, Mark (Diana) Hubbard.  She has many great and great great nieces and nephews that meant the world to her.

Nancy leaves behind two very special friends that she met at Park Village.  They were always there to keep an eye on her, Betty Burbank and Shirley Sexton.  Nancy will be forever grateful for all the love they showed her.

The family of Nancy would like to thank the staff (family) at Park Village New Philadelphia.  You were not just caregivers, you were family.  Nancy loved each and everyone of you, especially #11.  Thank you for the exceptional care you gave Nancy.

A graveside service for Nancy will be held at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at Union Cemetery in Uhrichsville, with the Pastor Aaron Linard officiating.
