ROBERT L. MILLIGAN

Robert L. Milligan, age 94, of Uhrichsville, O., passed away on September 23, 2021, at the Community Hospice Truman House in New Philadelphia, O., following a brief illness.

Born September 3, 1927, in Uhrichsville, O., Bob was the son of the late Jesse P. “Pete” and Bernice L. (Fuller) Milligan.

In 1945, Bob graduated from Uhrichsville High School.  He served in the United States Navy from August 18, 1945 to July 19, 1946.  Bob retired from Gradall in New Philadelphia in 1989 after 37 years of employment.  He was a lifelong Uhrichsville resident and a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Uhrichsville, where he served as chairman of the board and he was a trustee for many years.  He was also a Mill Township Trustee.  Bob enjoyed golfing.

In addition to his parents, Bob is preceded in death by his wife Wilma E. Casteel Milligan, who passed away on July 30, 2003; his brother Harry H. “Bud” (Lola) Milligan and his special friend Betty Grandison.

Bob is survived by his son Jay L. Milligan (Sue Wanosik) of Uhrichsville; grandson Kyle (Melanie) Milligan; granddaughters Tianna Garabrandt and Lexi (J.B.) Stahl; great grandchildren Isabella, Braxston, Kingston, Maylee, Meleah, Leilani and John Blaine III and nephew Tom Milligan.

Graveside services for Bob will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, September 27, 2021, at Union Cemetery in Port Washington, O., with the Pastor Larry Malterer officiating.
